Chur Burger, Surry Hills

Chur Burger is just a short walk from Central Station and located on the corner where Assiette used to be (good riddance to that place). I love the American diner ambiance – order at the counter and pick a place amongst the round communal tables or high bar tables in the back corner.

The Food Zoo experience: Burgers are pretty good value – my favourite was the grilled beef (didn’t notice there was a fish filled and pickled cucumber variation T___T). A bit disappointed by the overpriced salted caramel shake which just tasted like a malt milkshake… I’ve read some reviews about bad service but didn’t experience any of that. Food was served quickly and when they realised it was for sharing they even offered for the kitchen to halve the burgers (I quickly declined as I wanted photos of a complete burger!) There are a few large share tables so waiting time is limited. I would say, good for a casual meal amongst friends, maybe not for a date…
