The Cortile, Sydney Intercontinental

It feels like it’s been a while since I posted. But perfect timing! After a horrid exam, what better way to celebrate than SIFF (Sydney International Food Festival)! On the first day we went to The Cortile and Sydney Intercontinental Hotel. I really wished we could sit at The Cortile which is situated at the lobby but we had a group of ten so they moved us upstairs and we sat outside the Café Opera on level one – the service was great though =)

Sugarhit: Homemade amarena cherry, triple chocolate gateau with orange honeycomb and Bailey’s macaroons

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the dish. Maybe its just not my cup of tea. The taste of the cherry was overpowering and I think that flowed through when I was having the gateau. On the other hand, the filling of the Bailey’s macaroon was nice and creamy and I liked that!

    U forgot to mention about the wine! Which I thought was the best thing out of the whole set!! Haha I had 3 glasses that night =)
